What is junk for one person, for the other one - is treasure, especially for a person with rich imagination. For many of us hubcaps are simply parts of our automobiles, but for some people it’s a valuable material for creating a work of art. Ptolemy Elrington is the artist from Brighton, the UK, who can make interesting sculptures of animals such as dragons, dogs, owls, sharks, crocodiles, fish from hubcaps. In this way the author expresses to us his main idea, that used things can live the second life.
You should admit, that it’s rather an extraodinary, but a very beautiful and useful way of garbage utalization. So, the artist collects thousands of lost hubcaps on the sides of the roads all arond the Great Britain and create his intricate sculptures. With the help of his good imagination and magic hands he transforms useless hubcaps into glittering animals.
Each sculpture is so detailed, as you even can’t believe that they have been made from BMW, Mercedes, Ford and Volvo automobile hubcaps. Ptolemy Elrington finds them more flexible for his work.
All the hubcaps, which the artist finds, have scratches and wears, but they add even more beauty to new models.

That’s why a new Grand Performance segment was created, - noted Mr. Chung. – The tire is a real technical wonder.”
Yokohama AVID ENVigor will be manufactured at the works in Salem (Virginia) with H, V and W speed rating letters. The tire is distinguished by patented adaptive 3D-sipes (that allow to maintain pressure on wet surface in winter conditions); angled walls of grooves; circumferential grooves that allow to increase hydroplaning resistance level; central ribs with the original pattern and monoblock shoulders for additional rigidness; variable tread step for the reduction of noise level; groove-into-groove technology for more uniform treadwear; and absolutely new rubber compound on the base of silica for more efficient fuel consumption.
“The tire is an evidence of our aspiration to provide the consumers with the latest technological innovations. It’s quite possible that Yokohama AVID ENVigor is the most perfect tire on Earth”, - added Mr. Chung.

A computer, called Porsche SLI-Machine, has a form of Porsche Cayeene wheel and reflects the imagination of modern computer designers. Inside the chrome rim of the wheel there are two Nvidia SLI video cards and a special liquid-cooled system.
This computer made from an automobile wheel was even exhibited at the modding SLI-Machine competition and became the winner in the first part of it.
