Yokohama Orange Oil Tires
New Yokohama dB Super E-spec tire - the world’s first tire made on the basis of orange oil, 80% devoid of oil products. Besides oil, the raw material for tires is a natural rubber. Developers of the “orange” tires are told that they contribute to saving fuel by reducing rolling resistance by 20%.
The same technology is used in the manufacturing of racing tires Advan ENV-R1TM, designed for cars for Porsche GT3 Cup.
“Orange” tires are designed for such vehicles as the Toyota Prius, Honda Civic, Toyota Camry, Honda Accord, Nissan Versa and the VW Golf.

Yokohama tires review: ADVAN Neova AD08
Yokohama Tires Company has added new tire ADVAN Neova AD08 to the ADVAN line. The new sporty tire was first represented at the auto-show SEMA. It will come to the market in middle of the second year. The tire has 39 sizes and the company assures that all of them will be available.
The new tire is a so called modification of the six years old ADVAN Neova AD07. The tire works on the road perfectly, make turns on the high speeds on the dry surface and has also all characteristics balance: control, steadiness, wet surface adhesion, wear resistane and wear evenness.
The new Yokohama tires composition is developed according to the advanced MS Compound technology that was also used in Neova AD07 development. The “MS Compound 2″ was added with a substance that is used in WTCC now. It resulted in new physical features: softness on the micro level and rigidity on the macro one. The composition contacts with the smallest road surface elements increasing the contact spot and therefore improving the adhesion on the micro level. The composition resists the deformation from heating and wear, providing great adhesion on the macro level.

Persistent rounded grooves increase durability. The power form the road surface exposure scatter. The grooves location affects effective water pipe bend on the wet surface.
• Monoblock arm zone
The arm blocks use improves the protector rigidity and guarantees good adhesion reducing circle time.

micro grooves on the walls of the basic grooves weaken the pressure to the block sides and therefore make the resistance to the uneven wear by increasing the steadiness at extreme conditions.
