Studded Or Friction Tires?

How to choose – studded or friction tires, depends on the conditions under which you will operate the vehicle and the personal preferences of the owner of the car.
Both of the tire types are resistant to wear and have high technical characteristics. But knowing their distinctive features, it will be easier for you to choose exactly the type of tire that suits your needs.
Studded tires:
1.Mostly preferable for driving on icy roads. Especially good for suburban roads, or if you live near the coast, where roads are often covered with ice or snow.
2.It is easy to maneuver in the ice-yards on the studded tires, especially with small rises, or if you have an automatic transmission installed.
3.Studded tires are preferable for novices who have not dealt with the quality and other distinctive characteristics of the road surface due to lack of necessary experience.
Friction Tires:
1. Friction tire shows themselves better on the snow-covered roads and the asphalt surface with an ice crust and packed snow.
2.You should be careful at intersections and in similar places, where the roadbed is covered with a thin layer of ice or snow. In these circumstances studded tires are more preferable.
3.If you need tires that are less noisy, then choose the friction tires, they are less noisy. But most importantly, do not forget about safety!
4. Friction tires can be installed before the fall (and be removed later in spring) on the car, thus reducing the chance of falling into the snow or frost on the summer tires.
5.Do not use the friction of tire as multigrade. These tires are soft and quickly erased at high temperatures, not to mention the fact that they are keeping the road much worse than a good summer tires at high speeds in a dry and hot weather.
Attention! When you install any winter (especially new) tires the car will be driven worse on a dry road than the summer tires. And the winter tires are more noisy, due to the fact that they have a much larger tread than summer tires.
Therefore, caution, speed and distance! These tires are not designed for a very aggressive driving, but they secure you in a difficult winter road.
