    Michelin Latitude X-Ice Xi2 is a non-studded winter tire for four-wheel drive passenger car, jeeps and crossovers. It is designed for changeable wintertime conditions and offers excellent traction on ice-covered roads. The tire compound molds into directional tread picture borrowed from first-generation tires. It has a central rib to ensure precise steering while powerful shoulder blocks add to your vehicle’s course-keeping ability. Wide circumferential grooves incorporated into the tread picture evacuate water and slush from under the footprint area thus ensuring reliable grip on snowy surfaces. The entire tread surface is covered by numerous Z-shaped sipes to provide for biting edges that cut into ice and snow, thus guaranteeing stable traction distance and reducing braking on them. At the same time, the company takes measures to remove a thin layer of water that emerges under the contact patch as you drive. The tire’s “Flex-Ice” compound features micropumps that absorb moisture, which enhances grip. The compound can also adapt to different temperature conditions and change from stiffness to softness and vice versa to ensure excellent performance anytime.
