    Michelin X Ice Xi2 tire is a winter tire for passenger cars. The tire was developed jointly by the Michelin specialists from France and Japan. It was tested in the severe conditions of the Russian winter. The tire is manufactured with the application of state-of-the-art technology – mini-pumps. Mini-pumps are holes of special shape that are situated at the edges of sipe blocks. The small diameter of the holes prevents them from being choked up by sand, mud and salt. The use of the innovation enables outstanding performance of the tire on wet ice. Mini-pumps effectively evacuate water film from the footprint.
