    Yokohama Avid T4 Tire
    Yokohama Avid T4 is a summer tire for passenger vehicles. It delivers all-rounded performance without compromising on anything. The tire’s key features include long tread wear, smooth running and reliable traction on dry and wet roads. The tire’s tread picture includes two deep circumferential grooves to ensure ultimate water removal from under the footprint. The V-shaped lateral grooves are arranged at an angle of 20 degrees to help the tire maintain low-noise operation. The Avid T4 is made from the Tri-Plex rubber compound, which enhances the tire’s temperature resistance (heat-resistance, first and foremost) as well as provides for longer tread wear. Buttress compound built into the tire’s sidewalls protects it from mechanical damage and cracking. The tire has a contoured bead design to provide for a close tire-to-rim fit, which reduces friction thus minimizing noise build-up. On the inside, the tire features a polyester cord body and includes two steel belts in its internal construction as well as two nylon edge covers to improve driving stability. The tire sells with T speed rating and is backed by 60,000-mile warranty on tread wear.
