Bridgestone Potenza RE 040 tire is a summer tire for passenger cars.

The tire belongs to Ultra High Performance segment and is used for the original equipment of such premium coupes and sport cars as Acura NSX, BMW 3-Series, Audi TT and Lexus SC430.

Potenza RE040 offers an excellent combination of outstanding steering response and ultimate steering control both on dry and wet surface.

The tire uses special rubber compound that provides high level of traction. The directional tread pattern has a continuous central rib and massive rectangular blocks that guarantee exceptional steering response, superb directional stability at high speeds and perfect traction on dry surface.

Circumferential and lateral grooves efficiently withdraw water from the contact patch thus increasing hydroplaning resistance level what in its turn provides excellent wet traction.

The internal structure of Potenza RE040 includes dual steel belts enhanced by nylon strip what allows to enable ultimate directional stability at high speeds and confident steering.
